About Me

Hello… I’m Rachael — founder and creative mind behind Rachael Leah Design.

I graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design (Print) and Business, and began my career working as a designer within the fashion industry. Over the years, my interests have led me to apply my skills as both a Designer and Illustrator across a variety of creative roles.

I have gained valuable experience working with both global corporations and independent designers in New York and London, including brands such as American Eagle and FatFace. These roles shaped my commercial awareness, creative versatility and understanding of the industry at multiple levels.

After starting my family, I founded Rachael Leah Design & Consultancy with a desire to work more intentionally — combining industry insight with a more personal and considered approach to design.

I offer a bespoke, collaborative service where listening carefully to each client is central to the creative process. I believe in designing with purpose and integrity — supporting healthy living, environmental responsibility, and championing local and UK-based businesses wherever possible.

Painting mindset…

With a PGCE in Early Years Education and experience as a Prosthetic Artist, I have seen how powerful creativity can be in shaping young minds. I believe that art offers a gentle yet transformative way to inspire learning, nurture confidence and support children’s mental and physical wellbeing.

At Rachael Leah Design, creativity is at the heart of everything I do.

The smallest creative moment can open minds, spark imagination and make a lasting difference.

In my shop, you will find my own thoughtfully designed products.

I am the author and illustrator of the children’s book To and Fro, available through my online shop and in selected independent bookshops across Devon.

Alongside this, I work within schools delivering Art and Creative Design projects that gently build emotional intelligence, resilience and wellbeing — helping children express themselves with confidence and joy.
